It seems users are excited to buy India’s cheapest smartphone “ Freedom 251 .” That’s why; the company’s official website got crashed as soon as the booking started for the smartphone. The booking started from today 6 am onwards, but customers are facing technical problems while registering their orders. The official website has crashed due to millions of hits on it at a time.
The website is not opening yet. The website is still closed so the company’ call centers along with its customer care centers.
” Freedom 251 ” has been developed under “Make In India” and “Digital India” programmes. The smartphone has launched yesterday in the grand event by Dr.Murli Manohar Joshi, MP. According to Mr.Mohit Goel, Director of Ringing Bells, This smartphone will provide the real digital freedom to millions of Indians. The special thing about the smartphone is that its 70% parts are made from India.
Currently, India’s cheapest smartphone is available for RS.1, 500. “ Freedom 251 ” will be a reason to raise chaos in the Indian Mobile Market. Indian Cellular Association (ICA), the association of the Indian mobile market is worrying about its price.
Indian Cellular Association (ICA) has sent the letter to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad questioning about pricing of the smartphone. Even they have claimed that even at the subsidized rate, the price of any mobile handset can’t reduce than RS.3, 500 in any circumstance. They stated further that senior politicians and government leaders should not attend the launching event and they must not fall into the controversy until the things are not clear about this case.
Now talking about its price, actually, the smartphone will not available for RS.251 but for RS.291. There will be RS.40 as shipping charges on this phone. Even the company is taking 4 months for its delivery.[ad id=”6615″]
