Google to compete with Skype and FaceTime with their one-to- one video calling app “Google Duo”

Google has launched their new video calling app for Android and iOS users called as “Google Duo.” By this latest app, the company is going to give tough competition to Apple’s FaceTime as well as Microsoft’s Skype.
The company announced this video calling app in the I/O conference three months ago. The company has made this app in order to eliminate difficulties in video calling. The app is the simple one-to- one video calling app which has a super simple interface. This app works on any connection whether it will be fast or slow. It has a unique feature named as “Knock Knock” by
which, users can see a live video preview of the caller before they pick up.

According to Amit Fulay, Group Product Manager, Google, “Video calling is the next best thing to being with someone in person. We have designed an interface which is very easy. We have been designed this app keeping in mind the network conditions of countries like India. We hope that we can create more personal video calling experience.”

The app has made encrypted for its security. Users don’t need to log-in on their accounts, as they can do video calling by using phone numbers only.

Though this app has recently started, it will be fully available in the next few days.
