How to use your Smartphone’s volume button to create a shortcut of apps


The Volume button is given in any smartphone, and it can use to control the volume of the smartphone.  But did you know that this button can use for other activities too?

Yes, you read it right.  Friends, you can do other activities with the volume button easily.  You can create a shortcut of the calculator app with the help of this button. What’s more, you can create a shortcut of any Android app by this button.

But to do this, you have to install an app from the Play Store.

You can make a shortcut of any app by using the volume button as follows:

  1. First, go to the Play Store, and install the QuickClick app. You can download this app here.
  2. After downloading it, open the app and click on ‘Create a New Action.’
  3. Now you will see all installed apps from your phone.
  4. Now, click on that app, for which you want to create a shortcut
  5. When you will select that app, you will see a window coming in front of you.1
  6. Here you have to select time, means if you will select the amount of time; you have to press the same amount of time (Seconds).   I will suggest that you should select only 3 seconds.
  7. Then, Click on ‘Ready.’
  8. Here you have to select the right key for opening the required app. Means, you have to decide that whether you want to open the app by ‘Volume up or Volume down’ key.  
  9. You can select from any of your favorite here.
  10. You have to click on ‘Ready.’Now click on ‘Finish.’2
