Friends, There are many changes in Android Lollipop 5.0. You can access it in various android devices. There are such features which you might know, but there are some hidden yet interesting features of this operating system too. These useful features will amaze you.

So, Here are following cool tricks of Android Lollipop 5.0:

1. How to access Quick setting

You can get access of Quick setting only by swiping two times on the top of the screen. Here you will get some useful controls such as cast screen controls, screen rotation, hotspot, flashlight etc.

Also, you can switch on/off some features such as Location, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth etc. Moreover, You can adjust the brightness of the screen in such conditions.

To get quick setting access, You will see first swipe “notifications” and second swipe “quick setting” on the Home Screen. If you want “quick setting”, just swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers.


2. Manage Notifications

To open the “Notification Panel”, Swipe down from the top of the screen, you will see notifications in the middle of the lock screen. Tap on those notifications, there will open related applications to those notifications. If you want to hide these notifications from anybody, follow these steps:

Setting –> Notification manager –> When device is locked –>Select don’t show notification


3. How to set up priority mode

Google has introduced the new feature “Do Not Disturb” in this Operating system, by which you can disable unwanted notifications and alerts. This feature is also known as “Interruptions: “By this feature, you can set up priority mode by your own convenience. You can access “Interruptions” setting by press the Volume Up or Volume Down button.

In this setting, you will see three modes.

1. None-It will disable all notifications.

2. Priority- It will show only your customized notification. To customize notifications,

just tap on the gear icon placed in front of the “Priority interruptions only.”

3. All-It enables all notifications

4. How to enable battery saver mode

Android Lollipop 5 provides increasing your device’s battery life up to 90 minutes in the “battery saver mode.”

To enable this feature:  Settings –> Battery –> Battery Mode–> Select Power Save

Also, the feature shows the saved time before charging the device in the battery setting. When you do plug-in to charging your device, it shows the time which takes to fully charge it.


5. How to check your data usage and set data limit quickly

There is a new feature in the “Quick Settings” menu, in which you can check your used data. For this, just swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the network icon.

If your smartphone has a limited data plan and you don’t want the over limited data, Android Lollipop can limit the usage of your data. Just Tap on “More Settings” and control the limit of your data. Also, You can set “Warning” setup which will alert you after using the data.
